Ipswich Physiotherapy Centre has a small indoor thermal exercise pool which in many cases can enhance patient’s treatment and is provided as part of our commitment to the best possible patient care.

The pool is 3.5m long, 2.3m wide and 1.3m deep and heated between 32-34oC. The pool sits 80cm above ground (usual chair height) to allow easy access either by steps or sitting on the side of the pool and lowering in.

All patients, young, old and even babies are catered for, including WorkCover and Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Individual treatments are provided and the pool may be utilised by patients to enhance their individual exercise programs. Patients, however, may need to be supervised at their Therapists discretion. Strict guidelines are given to hydrotherapy patients which must be adhered to for patient safety.

It is important to note that that you can benefit from hydrotherapy even if you cannot swim or wear spectacles.
